Quitting Smoking

Before we continue, let me tell you the bad news. Quitting smoking is very tough. According to the research, many people who try to quit smoking restart within a week and about 90 percent relapse within a year. But there is also good news. It is possible to quit and we have helped many people on their way to becoming nicotine-free.

We are not going to preach to you about all the dangers of nicotine addiction. (Just in case you are interested,
click here) Frankly, you have heard it all before. And besides, smoking is your choice and you should have the freedom to make decisions for yourself. But if you decided to kick the deadly habit, we are here to help you all the way!

We do not believe in "one-size-fits-all" solution to quitting smoking. We are all unique human beings, and should approach every situation individually. In our years of experience, we have developed a unique and time proven program that is customized to every patient's individual needs. The program includes:
Acupuncture Hypnosis Food supplementation Customized diet Acupuncture treatments are painless and the effects are long lasting. The World Health organization (WHO) of the United Nations recognizes forty-seven different health conditions that are successfully treated by acupuncture. One of these is nicotine addiction.

While some smokers have tried using the nicotine patch to stop smoking, they are often unsuccessful. The reason is that the patch puts nicotine back into your body.
Acupuncture detoxifies the body. It takes nicotine out of your body while allowing your natural endorphins to take over the comfort level. Most of the people who quit smoking experience insomnia, anxiety, and crankiness in the first weeks after quitting. Acupuncture and hypnosis can greatly decrease or completely eliminate the unpleasant side-effects of abstinence.  Our acupuncturist, Gloria Moreira, Dipl. Ac., A.P. LaC, has years of experience helping people like you.

So why do people relapse? It is well known that physical cravings disappear within 3-7 days. A tricky few days and then a lifetime of freedom. So why hasn't it been that easy previously? Simple, you didn't deal with the psychological addiction of smoking. If you think that stopping smoking is depriving you of something, then it is just a matter of time until you start again. It makes no difference how strongly you consciously want to quit. No amount of so-called willpower will get you to quit smoking if you are subconsciously opposed to quitting. Simply speaking, you will not quit smoking until you are subconsciously ready to do so! On the other hand, once you are subconsciously ready to quit, you won't be able to smoke! Hypnotherapy is ideal for this. Using
hypnosis
, you can deal with all of the emotional and psychological aspects of giving up smoking. Hypnosis is highly effective because it addresses the subconscious.

The results can be felt immediately. Here are just a few of the many and marvelous benefits of hypnosis sessions for those who have made the choice to become nonsmokers: Hypnosis strengthens motivation and reinforces the positive goal of being a nonsmoker; Hypnosis helps to remove patterns of habit (e.g., Every time I read a book, I light up); Hypnosis can lower and/or eliminate the level of desire for nicotine; Hypnosis assists in relieving and/or completely eliminating withdrawal symptoms; Hypnosis offers constructive and healthy relaxation methods to reduce stress; Hypnosis reinforces wellbeing and the positive feeling of success!  We will provide resources and answer your questions on tobacco. We want to support you as you move towards a new smoke free lifestyle.
